Google Nigeria and Ghana coming up in March 2012

The Google team is thrilled to announce its third annual g|Nigeria and g|Ghana, which will be happening on 15 & 16 March in Lagos and 19 & 20 March 2012 in Accra

Through the g|Day events, the Google team is looking forward to engaging with the growing community of Nigerian and Ghana developers, business leaders, and entrepreneurs who are passionate about technology. G|Tanzania and g|Ethiopia was recently concluded this February, to follow with g|Nigeria and g|Ghana in March.

The g|Event have been held in Nigeria and Ghana in 2010 and 2011. This will make the third g|Days to be held in these countries. On this note, Google team is expanding the program to cover topics for different levels and know-how of developers, webmasters, business professionals and marketers. Sessions will emphasize locally relevant topics and showcase successful developers and businesses.

There will be hosting of a special panel of successful women at Google and beyond, to bring together women and technology.

The programme is as follows:

Day 1: Developer and Webmaster

Day 1 focuses on hands-on training from Google engineers specializing in popular tools such as App Engine, Android, Maps, Google+ and Webmaster Tools. There will also be advanced labs for selected developers.

Day 2: Business, Marketing, and Entrepreneur Day

Day 2 is also suitable for marketers, webmasters, and entrepreneurs. Technical and non-technical presentations will focus on Google products, platforms, tips and trends for business. Attendees will also get to see awesome applications built by Nigerian developers for Nigeria and the world!
